Mineral IL formally organized as a Village in the 1850’s as a coal mining town. Located along Route 6 between Sheffield and Annawan, IL, this quiet little town of around 200 residents packs an enormous punch for the 4th of July day every year drawing crowds from all over the state of Illinois and Iowa.
